Miya leads the legal and compliance efforts at Openly.
She has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry in various legal and compliance positions. Most recently, Miya was the Senior Director of Compliance overseeing the compliance programs for the direct-to-consumer companies under the American Family Insurance Group and was Legal Counsel at CONNECT, powered by American Family Insurance.
Miya received her BA from University of Northern Iowa where she was also a NCAA Division I swimmer. She then received her JD from Drake University Law School.
Miya currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and two children, and spends most weekends watching her children play soccer.
